This work is based on an archive's digital collection of tens of thousands of telex messages. During my research my focus wasn't on the textual content, rather the layers of imprints which were added to these documents in the course of the partially known series of archival transcriptions and conversions. Beside the text of the original messages these imprints carry about an additional layer of information about things like the previous physical forms of the document, time or even the environment where the archival process took place.
