These are a set of quite personal photos I have taken of a person very important to me. They hold memories which have become emotionally destructive by now. Also, as this person is not the part of my life anymore, I should not have these photos either. However, my still present contradicting bond to these memories and my compulsive behaviour of archiving all of my photos ever taken kept me from deleting them. Eventually I created a computer algorithm which is able to reorder the pixels of a photo within its original borders according to a given logic which kind of mimics my compulsiveness and overwrites the original files with the output. All of the originally contained pixel information of the digital photograph remains in the file however it becomes unreadable regarding its content.
